If you are a smaller business, this would be a great way to start the listening process without investing in expensive software or spending unnecessary time Googling and searching yourself. Regular reports also make it easy to stay up to date on your mentions without having to continually login and check manually. > > **Desventajas**: We did quickly use up our available mentions and ended up going with a different software that, for us, was easier to use, cleaner looking and a better value (in part because we combined it with our analytics package). > > Overall, Mention was a helpful tool to better understand how listening would work for us, however, it did not end up being the tool for us once we required additional mentions. It allows me to track any mention of my brand, so that I can respond accordingly and be aware of everything that's being said about my brand, good or bad. Each mention in the list is given a score as well as a flagging system to help me prioritise which ones require speedy attention. I get regular notifications when new mentions come in, so I never miss a thing\! The tool also allows me to mark any mentions that I want to mark as irrelevant or block completely, and the filter can be great when you want to focus on a single channel, such as Twitter.
