Accounting systems like FreshBooks allow you to be paid online, faster, and it helps your business look professional -- from branded proposals (estimates) to invoicing. Every touchpoint with client, matters.
FreshBooks has a couple of plans that are completely affordable. $15/mo for 5 clients. $25 for 50 clients.
I was on the $25/mo plan (actually billed monthly) for 4 years. It's seriously a great product.
Are you worried about credit card fees? No problem. Add 3% more to your pricing to account for the payment gateway fees (PayPal, Stripe, WePay, etc).
You can even connect FreshBooks to your bank for ease of expenses and export profit and loss (P&L) statements.
There's really no reason why you should still be doing your accounting on Google Sheets.

Puntos a favor
My favorite part of FreshBooks was how easy it was to get started. The payment tiers are very fair. Sending out professional invoices and statements instead of Excel sheets or Google Docs sends the right message to your clients. It also allows you to send professional quotes.
Desventajas
I didn't like that the GL categories didn't have numbers. I'm used to traditional GL codes. They may have changed it since I last used it (2021). I find that GL codes

Cheaper than alternative solutions and easy to navigate and learn of a person just staring a small business.
Desventajas
Not enough expense categories and a lot of the reporting and functions involved too much manual integration.

It has efficiently manage our financial records well even with my little knowledge in finance and helped simplifies issuing of invoices with ease.

I like the way it helps in tracking both transactional and tax records with ease. It also help tracks paid and over due invoices, with its invoice and billing management features i also get to issue a professional invoice.
Desventajas
I do not have any issue as of using this software as its interface makes it easy for me to use and customer service has been helpful.

I've been using FreshBooks since I started my business over 12 years ago. The support is excellent and it's easy to use. It has cut my accounting time down significantly so I can focus on my business.

It's convenient and easy to set up and use.
Desventajas
I wish the connection with Stripe was two ways. It can't pull in my income that comes outside of Freshbooks so I have to manually do it.
