However the most valuable feature is the customer service provided by the developer Any time you are going to implement an MIS solution for your business, it's a complex process. The set-up and configuration can be the most difficult part. PrintPoint has so much depth that just figuring out the features you want to use can be a daunting proposition. That's why their customer service is so important. They take the time to train you and guide you through the set-up process. Once you are using the software, it's easy to use. Every job starts with creating an estimate for your customer. If they place an order, you turn that estimate into a job with a few keystrokes. This prints a job ticket that can be used on the production floor. If you buy the data collection option you can use barcode scanners to log in and out of jobs and do job costing. Once a job is produced you close it out and send it to be invoiced. Invoices can be exported to Quickbooks at day's end. If you want a full featured program offering soup to nuts for a commercial printshop then PrintPoint is for you. Nobody else in the industry will be more responsive and helpful. A large printshop will want to have a designated PrintPoint specialist tasked with training new staff and keeping on top of pricing changes, reporting, etc. > > **Desventajas**: I love everything about this software. If you force me to pick something negative it would be that PrintPoint is not an easy program to set-up. For a large shop it can take a couple months to enter all your customers, paper inventory, pricing, etc. But once you do all the grunt work, you'll be glad you did. It runs on both P.C's and Mac's. This is great where we have prepress staff that it can sit on their desktops and then it can also run on machines that are windows OS. We don;t have to have an IT professional to maintain it. It has modules that are expandable so you don't have to purchase a vast amount of components to get started.
