Venmo es una cartera digital y una pasarela de pago que permite a los clientes realizar pagos y transferir dinero a través de un dispositivo móvil. To those who do not carry much cash on them, if at all, Venmo is a great option to be able to pay for transactions without having the cash handy. Almost everyone in my personal life that I deal with has a Venmo account, which makes sending and receiving payments a breeze.
Puntos a favor
What I like about Venmo is that it is free to use and is getting more and more widely accepted as a form of payment in both private and public transactions.
Desventajas
I don't use the feature, but the instant transfer of funds to your linked account costs money. To me, the standard transfer is just fine and costs me nothing, so that is what I always use to transfer funds from my Venmo account back to my linked bank account.

I recommend Venmo to all of my friends and family. In fact, many of them have downloaded the Venmo app specifically because I asked them to in order to exchange money between us. I couldn't be more happy with Venmo and the fact that it does not charge as long as you're using your debit card or you have the money in your Venmo account. You can pay with Venmo anywhere that takes Visa which is very convenient. Plus, my favorite thing… I got to choose the color of my card which of course I chose pink and I love it!!

Venmo is my go to app to send or receive money for literally anything! I can send money to my kids or receive money for local sales from Facebook marketplace. When I'm splitting the tab with a friend.. it's simple & convenient. I love the fact the Venmo is literally INSTANT. There no wait time for the transfer so there's no waiting around for the money to hit your bank. Venmo doesn't charge anything for transferring between accounts which is awesome. And my Venmo debit card works anywhere that takes visa which is also convenient. Also you can send a penny & all the way up to thousands of dollars in one transaction at no charge. Zm
Desventajas
You are limited to the number of cards you can add to your Venmo account during a 6 month period which for me was sort of inconvenient because I receive gift cards through my work for incentives & awards. However I can just add these to my Apple Pay & use them that way or virtually so it's truly not that big of a deal.

Horrific. The support is terrible for a company in this day and age. Both outdated support options on the App and the website and then horrific support through their customer support phone line. Horrible Horrible Horrible

I used to like the ability to send and receive money, but it's not worth it after what we experienced.
Desventajas
Support. They have the worst support I have ever experienced. The chat support in the app and on the website instructs you to click on options that are not there. Chat support was minimal and not helpful. Telephone support was equally terrible. In addition to long wait times, my son was instructed to supply Venmo with a picture of a government ID and then him holding the ID. He was then told that he was not looking at them (which he was looking at the camera) and then was told he would need another ID. He is 18. He has a drivers' license. He asked what other ID do they expect him to have? They had no answer for him. He was told his case was being moved to a supervisor and then he suspended his account (which is ridiculous since the entire reason for support was that his phone number changed and he hasn't been able to access his account). It is deeply frustrating as to the level of incompetence, especially since there is money in his venmo account that he cannot access.

Venmo is very easy to use and a great asset for my business. Searching users is quick and the process of making payments as well as receiving payments is quick. The accessibility of scanning a QR code to pull up another users information is a great feature of Venmo.
Desventajas
The one part about Venmo I did not like when I first used it was not realizing all my purchases were essentially made public before editing my settings to make them private.

My overall experience has been good. I downloaded the app about 6 years ago and had a few minor glitches along the way but nothing like what a bank has done. So overall I'd rate this app about most when working with financial matters.

If a payment is made erroneously, receiving your money back requires a lengthy time frame, upon an investigation.
