The website generally looks good and membership management is fairly seamless.

Desventajas

Payment is confusing for members, and we frequently overlook attendees because it is an unclear process. Reconciling payments on the back end is a mess, forcing someone to check multiple spots to determine what was included in a deposit.

It is a great BASIC service for organizations that do not need more than basic functionality and features and do not have a web wizard on staff. I believe there are better services out there, but the trade-off is expense and experience/knowledge in working with websites.

Ease of setup and updating the site with current material

Desventajas

We have not had some of the functionality that other competitors provide; batch membership dues processing/payment, integration with member ID badges to swipe and log attendance at events, no ability to send automated "attendance certification" email to members who attended an event (we could do this initially but was lost during a recent update to email functions). There have been other features that we would like to have but don't recall right now.

I am generally happy with the product, but I think there is always room for improvement. As the author [sensitive content hidden] says, the enemy of great is good.

I like the "one stop shop" features of managing our organization.

Desventajas

The product is mostly intuitive, but the webpage design and management features could be improved and simplified. The biggest thing that I think StarChapter can improve upon is the customer/technical service access. Talking to a real person the day of the issue is paramount to modern organizations, and I would suggest investing in the human capital to accomplish better customer or technical support.

Desventajas

When putting in descriptions and the body of the email there are too many codes that get put into the format. Not easy to make the body of the email or meeting description look appealing.

I love the fact that everything is in one software. I used to have to use multiple ones and now I have everything in one, easy to use, functional place. The membership tracking, the payment processing and ease of website updates are amazing.

Desventajas

There is limited customization after a certain point. If the field hasn't already been created then in some cases you cannot create it. Some things cannot be made mandatory and there is a limited way of filtering member reports.

Everything is intergrated and works all together as one whole system. Payments, memberships, announcements, events. StarChapter makes it easy to reach you membership with new content posted in the StarChapter system.

Desventajas

They only downside is emails. Any emails sent using StarChapter's system, whether it be individual or mass, it doesn't not go to the recipient’s MAIN inbox. It seems to pass recipient’s main inbox and goes to either a “promotion” and/or “spam” folder.

It's nice that I'm able to create an event, send out emails to members, and have them login and pay all in the same place. (When it works)

Desventajas

It has been very difficult for members to renew their membership or new members to join using Star Chapter. I have tried to contact Star Chapter, but it seems they don't have enough people and can only offer a call back at another time. I'm a volunteer on a local chapter, I don't have time to sit at my computer waiting for a call back.

The site is difficult to customize, not allowing for an easy method of previewing changes. The content manager is clunky and unintuitive. The external facing side of the site is okay, though the division of content makes it difficult to navigate if one doesn't know exactly where to go.

The admin dashboard presents useful statistics in a simple to understand way.

Desventajas

It is easier for non-members to navigate the site than it is for members. Use of starchapter's payment processor is required, and quite costly if your organization does not regularly collect funds through the site.
The captcha function for registration is buggy - if registering from inside my corporate VPN, it gets into a loop and I "fail" every time.

Easy to navigate. Very good customer service-always prompt response.

Desventajas

Clunky page layout. No user friendly for non-experienced users. There are many features that we cannot get to work correctly even after reaching out to customer support for help.

Having StarChapter manage the backend set up has been nice and I do like the templates that can be created for meetings but I haven't delved into the software enough to see what other things I may like.

Desventajas

We haven't even launched the platform and I'm ready to go back to what we're currently using and I'm not even into the daily use of the system yet.I was provided 1 hour of online training but there is so much to learn that it is just not enough.The KnowledgeBase has been of little value and tech support is only available via email. They do have a ranking system for their email support, so I would "assume" that if you have a high-priority ticket that it would get a quicker response, but my medium-priority tickets have taken 1-2 business days to get a response.

We us the slider design on our home page to present a professional view of what programs we are offering our members and guest. They can register for our association or a meeting and it is our central communication hub.

Allows members to register and pay online and provides the database from which to send notifications.

Desventajas

Not dynamic. Very linear in reporting etc. For example, I want to report showing all of the guest for a meeting, not a list by registration date or name. Who said they are coming in person? Not to have to get the report and manipulate the CSV file.

This is an easy way to manage membership and events. It's easy to make new pages and update content.

Desventajas

Some times changes you make to a page take a minute to hit the site or if you go back to make changes it will say its still being worked on (even when it's not) so you'll need to come back in about an hour.Also content that has been up for a while is hard to change. (still cant figure out how to change our address on the home page.

Desventajas

Absolutely do not like the backend coding platform that does not make it easy to change content. Some features are not helpful to add content and pictures to the home and subsequent webpages.
