gran ide para programar en JAVA

Revisado el 19/12/2022

Puntos a favor

Puntos a favor

Puntos a favor

Best IDE for Java Developers

Revisado el 17/7/2021

We use Eclipse IDE in the bank for development of Java interfaces and APIs for consuming third party application data.

Puntos a favor

Eclipse has been in the market for a long time now and hence the IDE has now matured to a great extent.
For Java Developers, this is the best bet. Excellent integrated environment for development and exposing APIs as a war file.
It has an excellent debugging tool. Also there are a lot of plugins available which makes implementing business logic more convenient as compared to Net Beans.

Desventajas

Its sad to know that Eclipse is not as prepared for other high level programming languages like in case of Java. So if you are coding in a language other than Java SE or EE, Eclipse might not be your best bet.

Experience with Eclipse IDE

Revisado el 10/4/2022

The IDE was used for the development of applications and extensions of monitoring tools. In addition to the implementation of devops flows.

Puntos a favor

It is very easy to customize and extend it based on plugins, in addition to the debugging functions that allow the development of applications to be simpler, being able to condition the execution to the productive environment for which the application is intended.

Desventajas

The IDE has a lot of plugins and many of them are not compatible, and you can only tell when you are using the IDE, causing it to become unstable.

Excellent for Startups

Revisado el 10/2/2021

I really enjoyed the fact that I could even open netbeans based projects (with the exception of the GUI builder in Java swing). It made life a lot easier and on a budget it works very well.

Puntos a favor

I loved the fact that most of the tools to do any Java-based or even pyton-based development are free in this IDE. It gives a good introduction to new developers especially in the startup context.

Desventajas

There are now much better IDE's that are capable of better memory management. Unfortunate eclipse has slowly been getting heavier and heavier and has become as overweight as netbeans.

Alternativas consideradas

Apache NetBeans y IntelliJ IDEA

Razones para cambiar a Eclipse IDE

Better memory management, newer tools and Intellij has a LOT more plugins.

"One of the best IDE for project development specially for java."

Revisado el 11/2/2023

#Great compatibility.#Free to use Eclipse IDE.#Highlight in syntax when while writing code.#Inbuilt terminal to see the output of the code, which saves time. We don't need to go to CMD every time.

Puntos a favor

#Eclipse is a most used open source IDE (integrated development environment) for java development. #It provides best platform on which we software engineers develops apps specially in java and websites code. #It helps us by providing no of features related to development like importing libraries, sharing files, file management, better UI and many more.#We can also Push and Pull the code on Git-hub directly.#It also helps in writing bug free code by assisting while writing code i.e. auto suggestion. This IDE is famous for java development.

Desventajas

#It need large memory footprint in computer memory.#As it is heavy tool so it takes time to launch and sometimes slows down the system.#We don't get so much features for other language other than JAVA.# Web development is also not supported.

Solves many problems, but it's not the first option

Revisado el 26/10/2021

Despite the shortcomings, I can say that it's more pleasant to create for Android in Eclipse using the plugin than using Android Studio. That's because the development of the supporting part of Eclipse is phenomenal. He helps you with things that clearly someone needed to use and took the trouble to develop. For example, for Android the help to find errors or gaps in internationalization is much more efficient in Eclipse than in Android Studio. When I used it for Java and PHP some things were like that, but then you stumble across something someone else did too lazy or in a hurry, and you get stuck.

Puntos a favor

It is a complete IDE, with many support tools, many plugins and support for many popular programming languages. It has "versions" with embedded items, making it easy to install for this or that purpose, such as IOT projects or embedded electronics, PHP or Java. If you don't have another tool, with Eclipse you can create your end-to-end product and deliver.

Desventajas

First off, Eclipse is free, but I put an average price. This is because despite not having a license cost, you have cost of use in productivity. If you take twice as much time on tool X it already costs you hours of production. I find Eclipse old-fashioned, heavy, huge and dated. It's not nice to use Eclipse, it's just functional. And he has many errors in obscure canvases that look like they were made twenty years ago.

Apache NetBeans y IntelliJ IDEA

Razones para elegir Eclipse IDE

That was a while ago. Today Eclipse is part of our toolbox but is only used for certain types of tasks. At the time we needed to get out of VB6 and JBuilder (Borland) was too expensive. The eclipse did, and while it's not a ferrari, sometimes it's the old 1113 truck that saves the day. We tried using Netbeans for a while, but it was SLOW and managed to make even the easiest task difficult. At the time it was Sun, but Netbeans under Apache doesn't look better.

Software anterior

Apache NetBeans

Razones para cambiar a Eclipse IDE

It's worth commenting because the decision he took a few years ago is still in effect, and we would make the same decision today: we tested Netbeans and InteliJ IDEA at the time. Netbeans was slow, heavy, did any task in the least intuitive way. JBuilder was expensive and therefore unaffordable for us. InteliJ IDEA was even more expensive, but it was great. Eclipse was mid-range between the three worlds and with no direct associated cost.

Decent IDE for software development

Revisado el 6/4/2022

I used to use it for Java development and Android development. However now I use Android studio for Android and don't tend to require Java development.

Puntos a favor

I found it simple to use and pick up for Java development. Was relatively flexible and offered lots of plugin customisations

Desventajas

The software for the most part was ok. It did nothing particularly special. So for niche uses (such as Android development) its development use is not as feature rich and lost out to those uses.

Eclipse Integrated IDE makes it simple to create Java projects

Revisado el 22/1/2023

Puntos a favor

It is both free and open source. It also includes code templates that are ready to use. It facilitates the addition of many plugins, resulting in a speedier development process. Eclipse has already set hotkeys for a variety of operations and allows you to configure one, which saves me a significant amount of time writing. It provides excellent debugging capabilities. With a basic user interface, it is simple to use and onboard. Provides a variety of editors, and the night mode in the newer versions makes it easier for developers to code.

Desventajas

The user interface is awkward. It might take a long time to open and run the code. It might be difficult to use if one is unfamiliar with or does not comprehend an IDE, since it takes time to become used to. When several plugins are added, it might get sluggish.

Widely Used IDEs For Automation And Development

Revisado el 1/2/2023

It offers a variety of editors, and the night mode in more recent versions makes coding easier for developers. The community support there is outstanding for learners. Additionally, it offers a private code repository and a unified workspace.

Puntos a favor

It has the greatest code-writing recommendations and an easy-to-create framework. A very large community is available for any needed assistance. It contains many significant features, including automatic syntax validation and assistance with code reworking. I find that Eclipse plugins work best for me because they make it easier to integrate different supporting plugins into the IDE.

Desventajas

The time it takes to open and run the code can be extremely long. It crashes when I run numerous workspaces or projects. If Eclipse offered connectivity to a database server and the ability to create basic queries, that would be useful.

Eclipse IDE Review

Revisado el 19/2/2023

All in all, Eclipse helps me work faster and more efficiently.

Puntos a favor

I find Eclipse to be an outstanding Integrated Development Environment (IDE) due to its user-friendly interface and wide range of features. Its auto-completion feature makes writing code a breeze, as it allows me to quickly identify errors and offers possible solutions. Additionally, its debugger helps me easily locate and debug any errors in my code. I also appreciate its ability to support multiple programming languages, making it easy to switch between them. Additionally, it provides a great coding environment that can be customized to my preferences, and supports version control systems and integration with other tools.

Desventajas

There is nothing to dislike about Eclipse IDE

Eclipse IDE: A Robust and User-Friendly Development Environment

Revisado el 28/1/2023

Puntos a favor

Eclipse IDE has a user-friendly interface and is easy to navigate, making it suitable for both experienced programmers and novice like me. I'm a self taught Java Programmer and Eclipse IDE has made it easier to study, The fact that It supports a wide variety of programming languages and development frameworks, making it a versatile tool for various types of projects also makes it stand out. it also has built-in debugging and testing tools, making it easy to identify and fix errors in your code

Desventajas

Eclipse can be quite resource-intensive and may run slowly on older or lower-spec computers and It can be quite challenging to configure Eclipse to work with certain languages or frameworks, especially if you are new to programming or the tool itself

Eclipse - Powerful but it requires getting used to

Revisado el 10/7/2021

The versatility as a Java IDE and WSO2 Integration Studio make that it is actually quite handy for both Java and Synapse Development.

Puntos a favor

Eclipse is a powerful IDE that has a large number of functions and a multitude of views and settings. The Eclipse framework is also used in other products like dbeaver, Apache DS and therefor familiar to people with those tools. It is an extensible product with add-ons like Integration Studio makes it a versatile tool.

Desventajas

Eclipse has a large number of perspectives, views and so on. This makes it a bit hard to navigate between all the options. The stability sometimes also has issues. Especially when you have a large number of open windows. The options are not always directly clear as to what each option will do (e.g. a number of options have the same truncated name like maven build )

A No Brainer choice to start Development with

Revisado el 14/9/2022

I had been in teams which use Eclipse IDE for backend development of the projects, integrating with Git, pushing the code, triggering pipelines and for debugging issues. It has been a great experience to load projects, create sub projects even with modern frameworks but as the world evolves, flavours like spring toolsuite have taken over for framework specific projects

Puntos a favor

For any mid-large tier company / individuals who start their development journey, eclipse is the best fit out there to help them onboard, pamper and make them learn. From basics to advanced users, eclipse is definitely a right choice for backend development . Also the responses, notifications eclipse gives are very contextual and always developer focussed. For test automation framework projects as well, eclipse does a great job

Desventajas

Lack of innovation since 2 releases - almost every feature being rolled out is just minor enhancement and that is one of the reason for many to adpot IntelliJ as the choice for IDE. Also eclipse start up time, loading projects from cache has not been improved since many years and it is definitely a concern for the modern systems

Great IDE without the high price tag

Revisado el 9/2/2021

Overall I like Eclipse and have had a positive experience. It is an inexpensive option that performs at a high level.

Puntos a favor

What I like most about the Eclipse IDE is the different profiles depending on the type of development being done. If you're using java, that's the profile is pretty much standard. If you're using Spring you can launch your server directly within the IDE. In addition there are plenty of add-on's that can be downloaded from the market place.

Desventajas

What I liked least is the lack of shortcuts out of the box. I've used other IDE's like InteliJ and the added shortcuts make things way more efficient; nonetheless, Intellij can be rather expensive when compared to an open sourced option like Eclipse. The fact that you can get Eclipse IDE without a monthly subscription makes the lack of shortcuts seem like a frivolous complaint.

Best IDE I have used for my development work

Revisado el 10/10/2021

Being a user for almost a decade now I have always felt that this is one of the best IDEs that I have ever worked amongst every IDE I have tried.

Puntos a favor

Ease of setup and user interactions to set up a project and do the development work for almost a decode for me now. A lot of improvements on their new versions show that they are valuing their users and consistently improvising their products.

Desventajas

The IDE takes a little long time to load at times when trying to import complex projects from github that may have a lot of dependencies to be initialized and some time results in memory issue

My Review of Eclipse IDE

Revisado el 1/7/2022

My overall experience with Eclipse IDE is not good.

Puntos a favor

I like that I can integrate 3rd party applications with Eclipse IDE to manage my API to test my back-end. Also, I like that Eclipse IDE provides a range of programming languages for different use. Eclipse IDE doesn't consume much memory which is good.

Desventajas

I don't like the interface of Eclipse IDE as it is difficult in managing environments. Eclipse IDE is not good for beginners as there is little documentation and tutorials that explain how to use it. Also, there is no feature for collaborative work.

Revisado el 30/5/2021

Since I have been using it since a long time, I am very comfortable with all the features however easy/complicated they are.

Puntos a favor

My main language of work is java. All my academic projects, professional projects were all on eclipse IDE. I find it very simple and useful to maintain java projects.

Desventajas

Best and easy to use IDE for java related applications development.

Revisado el 7/9/2022

Puntos a favor

"Its an easy to use IDE for java development. Im using it for 3+ years to automate web application with selenium.
Its interface i like the most ,easy to add plugins and support available for it on google makes it best."

Desventajas

Sometimes in older version if eclipse it becomes hard to find suitable plugin supported by it, we have to spend good amount of time for trial and error.
