Expense Reports (and reimbursement!) Have Never Been Easier

It is extremely handy to submit and get repaid for expenses. I'm a HUGE fan of company credit cards being preloaded so I don't have to personally shell out a couple thousand for a flight/hotel. For someone who remembers the days of photocopying receipts and physically signing expense sheets, this program is a godsend.

I love that I can put the app on my phone and take pictures of receipts (or whatever) and build my expense report as I go. I love that I can book airfare and hotels from the single platform. And I love that I can build an expense report and get the reimbursement back to me in a few days via ACH.
Desventajas
Booking a hotel can be a little confusing because there are endless options with shorthand codes for different sizes, etc. And if your organization has put in confusing policies/rules (or just not implemented them all the way) you can run into some roadblocks.

Budget friendly expense management option

It's a cost effective solution to credit card expense management. They can be mostly flexible in integration design to fit the needs of your company. The mobile app and website are user friendly for new users. The reports function is helpful to dig into expenses. There are a lot of reports to use, but the best reports are for an additional fee.

Do NOT waste your time or money!

We spent many weeks researching the best options for what we were looking for in an expense tracking software. We tried several trials and lastly ended with choosing Certify for the job. Talking with our sales rep, it sounded like a dream! He addressed each of our concerns and assured us everything we were looking for was within their app.
After we signed the contract, we experienced our first taste of what was to follow in how we were to be treated. We set up our first meeting to get started, and after confirming verbally, via email, and google calendar invite, our Account Manager was a no-show. No, follow up, emails, or calls to let us know either. We waited in the meeting link for 30 minutes before we reached out asking what had happened. The response we received was not of an apologetic one, but more of an “oops, I guess I forgot”. With this sort of response, we asked that an honour would be placed in that if the software was to not work for us, we could exit our contract without a penalty. Our sales rep agreed that this was a reasonable request, and confirmed we would have an exit option without penalty if their software did not work out for us.
We contacted our reps and let them know the software was not working for us. We tried, but it left us doing more work than our prior manual process. After requesting our account to be terminated, we were given penalties to be paid for exiting our contract agreement early. They would not honour any other agreements.

Desventajas
Their system is outdated. The software could be good, but it seems they are not willing to update to get there.
They use a 3rd party linking system which will result in you having to manually reconnect your cards to the system weekly, or your reports will not pull in transactions correctly.
The way the users are set up, it makes no sense and has a very hard flow to things. You constantly have to ghost another user to approve expenses billed to a card that is added to your user.
They are not a customer-focused company who is concerned with their product or how their customers are treated and focused more on filling their pockets.
Certify has a great sales team, but that seems to be where the customer service ends and loads of issues begin.

The certify software is a very easy and understandable to use. All my expense reports are very well organized and I can keep track of them for later use. The process to submit an expense is easy and also possible to use through mobile app.
Desventajas
I don’t have any cons so far and I have been using this software for a long time. Speaks for a easy to use tool.

Get's the job done, but could be better

It was easy enough to use. It allowed for export into our accounting software to upload as journal entries. I liked that you could pull historical receipts and get trends, etc.
Desventajas
Certify is finicky. There were a lot of instances of employees telling me their Certify wasn't working. Usually, it could be fixed by coming back to it later. Sometimes though, people's work would be deleted and that isn't fun if you have a lot of expenses. We also had a hard time getting Certify to pull data accurately from employee's corporate cards.

Great for tracking expenses

Ceritify app and control software specifically targets and organizes our teams travel log and...

Our team experienced an immediate affinity for Certify as an application which we are using along side our current CRM
in order to organize , track , and to monitor travel compliant policy alterations for our yearly , very busy travel schedule.
Certify as such has become a concrete asset as we save on needless and potentially expensive travel costs.

We found that Certify readily integrates inside of our current Control Management Software quite efficiently and easily.
Certify's own management team help sire us through this process which ultimately reduced our dependency on IT
support which can be costly. Certify offers easy to use tools that allow our employees and resource allocation
to create fine tuned reports designed to address monetary waste as well to increase cost efficiency. As advised by Certify's team,
we are paying particular attention to travel mileage as well as incurred airfare. AP report generation is also available for our
accounting in order to focus on reimbursable costs for each department or by employee.
Desventajas
We did notice occasional operational instability in the form of minor bugs with this program as well as the necessary synchronization
that must be initialized by each employee per server , however overall these inconveniences were mitigated through
intervention from Certify's capable client service department. They suggested quite effective work around solutions
to keep our report flow steady and current.

With Certify, I am able to ensure that I am getting reimbursed for money that I spend at work both directly and indirectly including gas, mileage, school supplies, food for meetings, and more! Thank you certify for ensuring that I am getting paid for the things I pay for!

I enjoy how easy the software is to use! I can use Certify with any expenses that I have including receipts from meetings, receipts from purchasing classroom supplies for students, gas receipts, and more. I can even upload receipts from my phone and transfer them to certify in a very simple process which makes my expense reporting stress free! As I mostly use the software for mileage, I enjoy that I can easily input my regular travel and have it deducted automatically while also having the option to "map it" and "round trip" my route in order to have an accurate account of my travel expenses. This software makes my overall expense reporting experience simple and easy!
Desventajas
At first I did not like how there were so many separate accounts for my work (timecard, notes, expense reporting etc.) However, with Certify, everything you need for expense reporting is in one place. Initially the action tabs can be a bit confusing and can maybe be modified. However, once you understand what they are for and how to use them they are very helpful. Other than that there is not much I would change about certify as it makes my experience so easy and stress free!

Great Software When You Implement it Correctly

When I worked for a company that already had the software up and running and had time to work out the implementation bugs, it worked great. If you can try to include yourself in any focus groups or test cases during testing, so you can make sure that your regular expenses will be able to be entered.

As far as travel and expense software go, Certify is very easy to use. The first time onscreen prompts help you figure out how to enter expenses for reimbursements. I've used other mobile expense software, and I would have to say that Certify has the friendliest interface, and it is difficult to get wrong. The menus and layout make it easy to find current submissions, past reimbursements, and to update your profile.
Desventajas
I have worked at a company where we switched from one T&E software to Certify, and the experience was terrible. While the interface was great, there were too many steps required in order to enter an expenses. I would also have trouble when I tried to split an expense for a single charge, and had to contact my accounting department as well as Certify Support. It was determined that certain steps were overlooked when the initial implementation of the software was done, so it took an extra 2-weeks, before I could correct my error. Unfortunately for me, this pushed me into the window where the Credit Card I used got charged the interest for that month. I was of course paid back, but it was a hassle none the less.

It's not the best, but it's not horrible either.
The mobile app works well. Auto-expenses are not reliable though. Rarely gets 'auto-fill' correct and most of the time have to manually enter everything (no big deal, still a time saver).
Web app, however, has a serious problem: linking uploaded receipts to existing expenses. If I create a new expense, upload a .pdf receipt (scanned in image of phone bill for example) and then try to link the two...it invariably creates havoc. Looks fine on my end, but as soon as I submit it for approval the links get broken (no joke, the expense shows receipts from a few months ago or other random flakiness). This, of course, results in more time to fix things. Which, as a field guy, means more time waiting to get paid.
I have a work around for that but it's still a bug...and it was annoying ;>).
The other thing I don't like about Certify: reimbursement. Yes, they do direct deposit into bank account. That's nice.
However....and this is where I have an issue...they say 'up to 5 business days'. Skip the 'up to' bit. It is 5 business days on the button every single time. So, for example...if our manager doesn't get around to approving the expenses for whatever reason...there could be (and is) a significantly delay in payment (keep in mind, business days...weekends don't count). The odd bit is Certify takes the money out as soon as approval is submitted...but takes 5 business days to pay out. Sorry, it should be a simple take -> pay process. Not take -> hold -> pay. There clearly is inefficiency somewhere on there side.
Our office manager could do a transfer that day (takes all of two minutes).
Overall, I am sure the bean counters like it. But as a field guy...I am not thoroughly impressed. Some flakiness in the software, the delays involved in reimbursement, and so on. Really hasn't made my life easier. There are much better apps out there for expense management.

Creating expense reports couldn't be easier!

Before Certify, I had to physically tape receipts to a piece of paper and scan it to our finance department. Now, I take pictures of receipts as I get them or forward receipts from my email. I can then easily create, send, and approve expense reports.

Creating expense reports couldn't be easier! I set up my account so that I can forward email receipts directly to Certify and the app makes it super easy to snap photos of receipts and upload them. In my role, I also have to approve expense reports - Certify makes it easy to do that (and make edits when something is submitted incorrectly). PLUS, their customer service is great - they are super supportive and friendly and are able to resolve any issues that arise quickly.
Desventajas
There's not much I don't like about it, but sometimes Certify will guess what expense category something belongs in, but it is often wrong (I just ignore it, so it's not a huge problem).

Overall one of the easiest platforms we've tried...and we've tried a lot!

Expenses are always tricky, and making sure people get them in on time and in the proper format for filing... but I've found that Certify, from the app to the optionality, has made it easiest for our teams to expense quickly and correctly.
Desventajas
It does require ample employee training due to the complexity of billing but the platform makes the process as intuitive as possible for tracking time, processing expenses and generating client invoices.

Is a valuable T&E tool!

The digital processing of T&E reports is by far more efficient than having employees submitting them on paper through snail mail.

Desventajas
the delay/processing time for employees who have a large number of items to process in one report is a huge time eater. And, moving between items they feel is cumbersome.

Ability to keep track of expenses and get manager approval much easier for projects.

I like the ability to track expenses and submit them to your manager for approval. This keeps a record and avoid discrepancies in the future. Ability to have a mobile app is great as well.
Desventajas
The software layout can be improved, especially on mobile. The interface is hard to learn and required some training for our user base.

The Certify system is extremely organized and easy to use. I enjoy that you can upload pictures of receipts from your cell, organize expenses throughout the expense period and it maps your mileage for you, even as one way or round trip so you don’t have to write your mileage down. Once you use it 3-4 times, it’s very simple and the phone app works as well as the desktop site.
Desventajas
The first few times using it, it was a bit confusing. However, this was years ago and it’s gotten smarter with time and easier to learn. I’ve helped others get started and I’ve seen first hand that they continue to improve the processes.

Time Savings with Certify

I am happy to no longer need to hold on to paper receipts to turn in for monthly expense reports. Submitting your report is very easy if you've kept up on your receipts everyday. Also very easy to review and approve reports for my sales team.
Desventajas
The auto fill feature is very spotty. Some days it works perfectly and some days it works poorly so my sales team end up missing errors and submitting reports that require work to correct. In the web site, the receipt view can be annoying as it continues to pop up even after you close the window.

Great Expense Reporting Tool

This replaces the old excel expense report, copying of receipts and waiting weeks for approval, now it just does it quick and painless. Expenses go from being done monthly to weekly.

Ability to book travel through corporate polices with no out of pocket expenses incurred by the user. The app for the smart phone makes it so easy to take a picture of an expense receipt without having to keep track of, which is great when traveling. Customer service is superior for when you need to change travel they assist within minutes and keep you moving all with ease and updates.
Desventajas
None it works great for my needs. Software is easy to use, great features, easy help topics and great customer services.
