Opiniones de Yammer

Lo que nos permitió implmentar Yammer como fuente de comunicación Organizacional fue la facilidad de integración ya que contabamos con la infraestructura de DA y Azure.

Al principio de etapa inicial se tuvieron problemas para poder realizar la implementación de igual forma no se contaba con los clientes de acceso a yammer, actualmente ya fue solucionado.

Sin duda brinda la oportunidad de mantener un contacto con colaboradores más en una empresa de grandes dimensiones

Considero que pueden pulir un poco más la Interfaz gráfica para hacerla más atractiva para los usuarios

Sirve para mantener a toda la empresa comunicada

Es lenta, y se actualiza lento, llegan las notificaciones un poco tarde

Lo que más me ha gustado de la aplicación es su función de buscador por palabras clave, pues nos ha permitido localizar dentro del sistema archivos de todo tipo.

Lo que menos me ha gustado de la aplicación es la forma de publicar los posts referentes a algo concretos, ya que pueden crear confusión a la hora de ver quien realmente ha hecho esa tarea.

Podemos tener comunicacion entre las diferentes areas y departamentos de la empresa, asi como compartir documentos de los diferentes proyectos que se estan ejecutando. Es una herramienta imprescindible en nuestro dia a dia, aunque al principio no me adapte luego de usarla diariamente no puedo prescindir de ella. Agiliza mucho mi trabajo lo que me da tiempo para realizar otras actividades y cumplir con todos mis pendientes.

Me costo un poco al principio adaptarme al uso de ella.

No sé pueden poner emoticones, y a veces con los links hay incongruencias

Es una gran red social, puedes conocer a compañeros de la empresa que no están en tu misma ubicación y así establecer vínculos de manera virtual.

Es muy completo, está bien así para estar en contacto.

es una buena herramienta para compartir el conocimiento, hacer consultas y compartir buenas practicas, con el objetivo de no duplicar tareas

en general esta bastante bien, no lo he utilizado como espacio para compartir documentacion, creo que su funcion como blog esta ok.

Me parece muy útil utilizar este software para realizar compartir desde archivos hasta impresiones sobre cualquier asunto.

Lo que menos me gusta es el modo en el que llegan las notificaciones. En ocasiones no es suficiente y puede que no te des cuenta de una notificación.

Yammer is fully equipped to serve as my network's central point of contact and communication. We have an international (dispersed) set of folks in my network, and we chose Yammer to be our communication hub. We have set up one work space for each work group - and another for our coordinating team. Not only do we use the group spaces, but the messaging between Yammer group members is extremely efficient and secure. We can write to individuals or create groups for ongoing within-Yammer communication. So even though we have to maintain security of information due to the part of the world we use this in, we have confidence in the security aspects. I also use the iOS Yammer app to access my account and messages.

I suppose it's meant to be a feature, but in a private message, if I type the name of someone who is also in our Yammer group into the body of a private message, Yammer automatically hyperlinks that person's name in the message as well as adds their name to the send-to list. While this is efficient, and while I can "undo" the link, it could I suppose cause some awkward situations if the sender never intended for that person to receive the message.

Yammer is a intranet social media that run privately, among the workers of my organization. We have use it for sharing news and memo of our department or organization. We can have a private group that only our department use, or the public forum wheres everyone on the organization can freely communicate with each other.

Yammer is getting obsolete, as nowadays, no one have use it anymore. There are not new update of feature for the software, so we have lost interest on it. We only use it for to check update from our Administration department, any not using it for anything else anymore.

It is a social networking platform that I normally used to communicate with my collogues and share information. Al employees can collaborate with each other and that makes everything very efficient I think. I use both web and mobile app versions.

Sometimes it shows contents that are not relevant to me.

It is somewhat helpful in that you can get responses from people you don't interact with on a daily basis. Our company did a lip sync challenge and that worked well on Yammer with videos posted working seamlessly.

Finally, after more than a year of my company using Yammer, you can access it with one click. Up until this week, one had to enter their work email and password TWICE! and our email addresses are very long. One of the pages you had to enter the email on had a huge button for "sign up" Yammer and a link in the text to sign on. So most of us signed up over and over which led to getting numerous emails each time yammer sent one out. There are over 5,000 employees in my organization and they are using Yammer as the sole source of information to the employees. Most items are seen by less than 200 people, and this over a year after yammer was instituted! So I'm not sure if it is Yammer that is the problem or if the problem is more in how my company set it up.

Yammer is a very easy product to use, anyone can have a access to all the features and use them easily

What I would recommend for Yammer is to add more features like webinar, training, event, competition

It is a great tool to help build team chemistry in a remote work environment. It can be customized for a specific company or division in the company. Our team members can interact with each other in a professional environment to build and collaborate while working remote.

It is a social media style platform so policies need to be in place to keep it a professional environment.

I can share my knowledge and experience by the help of this software and also I can learn something from other users as well. Also, I can easily communicate with someone and collaborate.

Personally, I have not faced with any problems yet. I use it for collaboration and it works great.

It is easy to use. You can write communication post and add files, tagg people to generate specific notifications.

I don't like the design at all. It looks like an old collaboration platform. We use it to communication about new training or upcoming sessions but we don't have a strong adoption of the platform, probably because of the design and the limits of features

Yammer is essentially and poor-mans Facebook for your organization. It allows you to pretty easily have private (or company/group wide) conversations with individuals/groups across your organization. It is nice that you can have daily/weekly digest sent straight to your inbox to see what conversation you've missed in groups you belong to without having to log in all the time.

Our organization has tried (and failed) multiple times to get momentum on Yammer. There will be big pushes to put content out there, but that quickly tapers off and usage dramatically decreases. There are simply a lot of tools out there that accomplish the same thing as Yammer, but much more effectively. Some of this comes down to lack of functionality, ease of use, etc.

It is safe and only authorized users have access to this corporate social network to engage and share latest news/updates within the organization.

Not sure if one can integrate with Microsoft Stream for videos. It would be awesome.

With Yammer staff can learn to build connectivity at social level across organization and engage collaboratively to learn and develop their skills. Yammer helps organizations build a healthy learning environment where anybody can contribute. You can create knowledge share and interest groups where employees engage in discussion and hone their skills. The key is to use it appropriately. Instead of engaging with outside world, employee can connect within the organization. You can create and send birthday greetings easily and let everybody know that it’s some one’s birthday today. We can’t ignore the importance of connecting socially with staff at personal level. You will also get notification of all new activities and events at work. Sharing anything is really simple on Yammer. If you come across anything which would be of help to co-workers, you can simply share it with the multiple interest groups on Yammer. Also, if you need suggestion from co-workers on anything, you can initiate a discuss and your co-workers can share their ideas easily. You can make announcements, praise a co-worker and create a poll, etc.

It might appear to be a distraction for highly occupied employees. They just might not be able to respond to even to birthday greetings.

What I like best about Yammer is that it acts like a pseudo-social media site, but only within the inner circles of your near and distant coworkers, (meaning those who are on site and off site), but within the same company. The site makes for a nice getaway whenever you need a break from work and you want to see what everyone else has to say on their profiles, if you want to send direct messages back and forth to a coworker, if you want to share various files, (both professional and personal), among a slew of other features that are very reminiscent of other social media sites. Only individuals with the proper corporate email addresses are able to create an account on Yammer and join your inner group of friends, which is fantastic.

There is literally nothing that I do not like about this software, because its purpose is very simple - and all of what it is made for is being met, at least in my case, and I have been using the software for a decent amount of time now. The messaging is in real time, the interface is simple and appealing, and it is accessible on desktop, laptop, or mobile.

Yammer enables us to create groups by specialization, so that we can easily share files and task updates, in addition to scheduling all events for all group members in a unified calendar. I like the fact that Slack integrates with email platforms, as well as Video Conferencing platforms, which enables us to interact more efficiently, as well as enable us to discuss, add comments and suggestions in an organized way. With Yammer and thanks to the high-quality automation provided with it, all dashboards stay up-to-date, based on updates from group members.

There are no negative things affecting the main functions of Yammer, I just need to lift some restrictions on formatting and editing the panels to become more relevant to the nature of our work.

Yammer is modelled after social networking platforms, both from function and UI standpoints. So if you can use Facebook, you'll instantly feel comfortable on Yammer. Think of it as a social intranet - post companywide updates and photos, hold contests, have team-specific chats or channels to cut down on inbox clutter, and promote a culture that's both full and well-informed at your office. Yammer allows polls, and you can set up email notifications to make sure you don't miss anything that might be of interest to you.

Yammer's social function is still a bit lacking, and it doesn't integrate as seamlessly with Office 365 as I'd like. Be sure that your company is thoughtful about what should be communicated on Yammer, and what should still be sent via email. Adoption by other employees was a challenge for us, as it can feel like just anotjher platform to have to check on a daily basis. I did receive feedback from several colleagues along the lines of "I already check my email. It's easier to have all communications go though Outlook. Why would I want to add another platform to my list of things to check?"
